Te Whare Koiora – Health and Wellbeing Centre

Te Whare Koiora is our kaupapa Māori health centre, grounded in manaakitaka, tikaka Māori, and community-based healthcare. It is a vital part of our Waka Hourua, offering whānau-centred, accessible, and culturally safe medical care to our manuhiri.

Services provided by Te Whare Koiora include:

  • Immunisations

  • Cervical screening

  • Sexual health services including Long Term Reversible Contraception like jadelle’s and IUD’s

  • Support for all stages of life from Birth to end of life including palliative care

  • Home and rest home visits

  • Skin checks including dermoscopy

  • Minor surgery like skin lesion excision and toenail resection

  • Steroid injections

  • Tongue tie release

  • Iron and aclasta infusions

  • Mental Health Pre and Post Crisis Support services

  • GP and Nurse consultations for urgent and long-term condition management

  • Preventative health checks and health promotion

Te Whare Koiora works in collaboration with our Nurse-Led Clinic and Comprehensive Primary Care Team (CPCT) to provide an integrated hauora model, ensuring continuity of care that respects both clinical excellence and Māori holistic values of wellbeing.
